Ghost has been acquired by Picture Shop

Introduction

Ghost – a leading Danish visual effects company with more than 20 years of global experience within state-of-the-art visual effects – has been sold to Picture Shop, an American post-production company.

Despite being located in Denmark, Ghost generates more than 90% of their business in Hollywood with leading film and TV-show production companies in as well as streaming networks. Picture Shop is focusing on becoming a leading player in post-production, and Ghost is an important addition towards strengthening that position within visual effects. For Ghost the new ownership is a unique opportunity to accelerate growth and deliver on an even greater scale to their customers. Oaklins was engaged by the owners of Ghost as strategic and financial advisor.

Oaklins truly delivered and worked hard, also when challenges occurred and it felt like an uphill battle. It has been like having Terminators (the good Arnold from the sequel) at our side. AKSEL STUDSGARTH, CO-FOUNDER OF GHOST A/S
