Guard has acquired X Automation to increase Nordic footprint
August 2025 — Guard Automation AS has acquired X Automation AS, a Danish provider of automation solutions for industry and critical infrastructure. The acquisition strengthens Guard’s Nordic presence and supports its strategy of combining strong local expertise with digital innovation. A key element of this strategy is the rollout of Guard Cloud, its platform for process optimization, operational insight and efficiency improvements, into new markets.
Guard is an independent industrial automation and system integration provider. The company develops innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Guard specializes in the water, environment, energy and manufacturing sectors, complemented by capabilities in industrial IT, IoT and AI.
Headquartered in Støvring near Aalborg, X Automation has more than 30 years of experience delivering automation solutions to the water, energy, biogas and industrial sectors. The company is recognized for its strong technical expertise, long-standing customer relationships and commitment to ensuring security of supply for its clients. Its operational owners will remain with the company under the new ownership structure.
