Philip is a director and head of industrials at Oaklins S&W, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK. He is well connected within the advisory community and has established high-level relationships with mid-market industrial companies in both the UK’s public and private sectors. He has significant industrials experience, with a proven track record of generating and executing deals. Some high-profile transactions he has worked on include the sales of RPC Tyche to Aon plc; Chapman Ventilation Group to an Employee Ownership Trust; Westminster Homecare to Care at Home; Fandstan Electrical, a specialist manufacturer of electrical equipment for the global transportation sector, to Wabtec; Xtrac, the world’s largest and most successful manufacturer of motorsport transmissions, to Inflexion; and James Dewhurst, a leading manufacturer of technical textiles, to Sioen Industries. Philip has developed particular expertise in the HVAC sector, having advised over a dozen deals in this important niche area.

For the 20 years prior to joining Oaklins S&W, Philip established, developed and led the industrials team at Oaklins Cavendish. During this time, he advised on over 60 engineering and specialist manufacturing businesses across a range of sectors, including aerospace, automotive, industrial services and HVAC. A PwC-qualified chartered accountant, he has provided corporate finance advice to UK and global engineering businesses. Philip studied engineering at Birmingham University and has worked in the automotive industry.
