David Ball

Associate Director

David is an associate director at Oaklins S&W, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK. With nearly a decade of M&A experience, he advises owner-managed businesses, shareholders and management teams on exit and succession planning, and has completed deals across a range of sectors and industries, with a particular focus and expertise in cyber security and TICC. Notable recent cyber security deals he has advised on include the sale of cutting-edge cyber security provider Ruptura InfoSecurity to Saepio and the sale of Manchester HQ’d Predatech to Ekco Cloud, a Dublin-based, private equity-backed IT group. Within the TICC landscape, David has recently led the sales of leading environmental consultancy Seed Environmental Group to Celnor and, latterly, CTSL Group to Seed. Based in the Cambridge office, David is well connected in the local corporate finance community and has forged strong relationships in the regional lower mid-market.

Prior to joining the Oaklins team, David qualified as a chartered accountant at a leading Cambridge firm of accountants before joining the M&A team at boutique corporate finance advisors Ashcroft Partnership LLP in 2018.
