Glasshouse Technologies, Inc. has been acquired by Signature Technology Group, Inc.
Signature Technology Group, Inc. (STG), a leading provider of data center services, has completed the acquisition of the US Consulting division of Glasshouse Technologies, Inc. Financial terms of this transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2001 and based in Framingham, Massachusetts, Glasshouse Technologies, Inc. provides data center information technology (IT) consulting, implementation, and managed services in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The company delivers IT services through Transom, which consists of software tools, methodologies, and subject matter expertise, serving clients in various industries, including financial services and insurance, energy, healthcare and medical, travel and entertainment, and government agencies through direct sales professionals, as well as through indirect sales channels. On June 16, 2014, GlassHouse Technologies, Inc. filed a voluntary petition for liquidation under Chapter 7 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, STG operates as a third-party warranty and information technology support company. STG provides hardware maintenance, monitoring and/or preventive maintenance and OS support services, staffing support and professional services, including data center deployment, software implementation and software migration, and consulting. The purchase continues the expansion of STG’s customer footprint and North American presence, while expanding its professional services capabilities.
One of Oaklins' teams in the USA served as exclusive financial advisor to Glasshouse Technologies, Inc., assisting the company in the divestiture of its assets in a series of transactions to strategic parties, including STG.
