MC Sign Co. Inc. has been acquired by Caltius Capital Management

Sverica International has sold a majority stake in MC Sign Company to Caltius Equity Partners, a leading technology-enabled services company that provides a comprehensive range of recurring maintenance and program management solutions to national customers across a range of verticals. Financial details have not been disclosed.

MC Sign Co. Inc. provides signage, lighting, and maintenance services to customers in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Guam. Its solutions range from new signs and installation to lighting retrofits, and service and maintenance. The company was founded in 1953 and is based in Mentor, Ohio.

Los Angeles-based Caltius Capital Management is a private equity firm specializing in bridge financing, buyouts, turnarounds, and mezzanine investments. The firm's mezzanine investments are focused on acquisition financings, recapitalizations, re-financings, management and leveraged buyouts, liquidity for existing shareholders, shareholder dividends, and growth capital financings. It also provides minority equity co-investments, turnaround, late venture, acquisition facilities, and senior bridge financings in conjunction with subordinated debt investments. The firm seeks to invest in middle market and mature companies across a wide range of industries including aerospace, defense, business services, consumer products and services, education, food and beverage, light manufacturing and assembly, and specialty healthcare services. It focuses on companies based in North America.

Founded in 1993, Sverica International is a private equity firm specializing in investments in buyouts, divestitures, and lower middle market owner operated businesses. The firm does not consider turnarounds and venture capital investments. It seeks to invest in companies in the light manufacturing, technology, distribution, business services, and services sectors with a focus on educational services, financial services, for-profit post-secondary education, enterprise software, healthcare services, pet care services, wind energy services, outsourced services to the financial and legal sectors, wind farm operations and maintenance, specialty coatings, developed technologies and enterprise software, software, cyber security, and software as a service (SaaS), and security and alarm monitoring.

One of Oaklins' teams in the USA served as the exclusive financial advisor to MC Sign Company, the preeminent national asset light facility services platform in the sign and lighting trades, in its sale to Caltius Equity Partners.
