Prospect Partners has sold Summit Companies to CI Capital Partners
Summit Companies (Summit), a portfolio investment of Prospect Partners, has been sold to CI Capital Partners LLC for US$78 million.
Summit Companies is a leading pure-play fire and life safety services (FLS) platform in the USA with end-to-end capabilities, unmatched technical expertise and a highly recurring base of code-driven, non-discretionary revenue. Summit's expertise covers the entire spectrum of FLS categories, including both wet and dry suppression systems, clean agent suppression, alarms and security monitoring, extinguishers, kitchen hoods and special hazard systems. Regionally dominant with national scope, Summit provides these services to a diversified base of commercial, industrial, healthcare and public sector customers – with widespread recognition in mission critical environments such as storage, modern logistics facilities and data centers.
CI Capital Partners is a private equity investment firm specializing in leveraged buy-outs. The firm seeks to invest in sectors such as business services, consumer, distribution, government and defense, employer services, military armored vehicles, logistics, aerospace, food, healthcare, professional employer organization industry, and light and heavy manufacturing. It invests private capital rather than pension and insurance funds. The firm frequently seeks to reinvest in its portfolio companies for add-on acquisitions and growth opportunities. CI Capital Partners was founded in 1993 and is based in New York City.
