Travelopia Group has sold its Events division to Compass Group plc

Compass Group plc. has acquired the Travelopia Events division from the Travelopia Group.

The Travelopia Events division includes Gullivers Sports Travel and Events International, both of which have a rich heritage. Established in 1972, Gullivers initially sold rugby and cricket supporter tours and has since become a multi-sport tour operator specializing in travel packages for rugby, cricket and motorsport fans attending high-profile events. Events International, a prominent wholesale supplier of tickets and premium hospitality packages, has a strong legacy in horse racing, tennis, motorsport and rugby events.

Keith Prowse is a leading provider of premium experiences, officially appointed by iconic brands and stadiums across the UK. As the official sports and events hospitality provider for renowned venues such as Twickenham and Wimbledon, Keith Prowse has been synonymous with premium hospitality at top sporting, social and cultural events in the UK for over 220 years. It operates as a subsidiary of Levy, a sports and entertainment experience specialist, owned by Compass Group plc.

Oaklins Cavendish, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK, advised KKR-owned Travelopia Group on the sale of its Events division to Keith Prowse, part of FTSE 20 company Compass Group plc. This successful transaction adds to Oaklins Cavendish’s extensive track record of deals in the travel and hospitality sectors.
