Trewhela’s School has been acquired by Nord Anglia Education

As part of a structured sale process, the shareholders of Trewhela’s School agreed to sell 100% of the company’s shares to Nord Anglia Education. The acquisition marks Nord Anglia Education’s sixth investment in South America, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region and consolidating its presence in high-potential educational markets as part of its global growth strategy.

Founded in 1937, Trewhela’s School is a private bilingual institution widely recognized for its academic excellence, British curriculum and holistic approach to student development. The school combines a strong historical legacy with modern infrastructure and a vibrant community, attracting both local and international families seeking high-quality international education.

Nord Anglia Education is a leading global group in premium private education, operating more than 80 schools across approximately 30 countries. The group offers both British and international curricula, with exclusive programs developed in collaboration with institutions such as Juilliard and MIT. Nord Anglia Education follows a scalable growth model supported by acquisitions to expand its presence and capture both commercial and operational synergies. The group is backed by private equity investors, including EQT Group and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB).
