CedarCrestone has been acquired by Golden Gate Capital
Golden Gate Capital has acquired CedarCrestone, one of the largest, independent Oracle pure-play consultancies and managed services providers, for an undisclosed consideration.
CedarCrestone delivers industry-focused client success by providing consulting, technical and managed services for the deployment, management and optimization of enterprise applications and technology. Following Oracle’s acquisition of PeopleSoft in 2005, one of Oaklins' teams in the USA structured the merger between Alchemy-backed The Cedar Group and Crestone International – two leading PeopleSoft service providers.
Golden Gate Capital, a global private equity firm with approximately US$8 billion of capital, has made multiple acquisitions in the IT services sector, including its 2006 acquisition of Sierra Systems. Investors include leading educational endowments, non-profit foundations and selected financial institutions, entrepreneurs and managers.
One of Oaklins' teams in the USA assisted CedarCrestone in structuring and negotiating the sale of the company to Golden Gate Capital.
