Nihot Recycling Technology B.V. has been acquired by Bulk Handling Systems

The shareholders of Nihot Recycling Technology B.V. (Nihot) have successfully sold 100% of their shares to Bulk Handling Systems (BHS).

Nihot is a global leader in the design and manufacture of air separation technologies. The company’s products and solutions separate waste based on material density and volume, and can be utilized in a variety of applications such as construction and demolition waste, refuse derived fuel, biomass, municipal solid waste and recyclables. With over 500 operational references worldwide, Nihot has a reputation of reliability, efficiency as well as experience and competence.

BHS, based in Eugene, Oregon, USA, is a worldwide leader in the innovative design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of sorting systems and components for the solid waste, recycling, waste-to-energy, and construction and demolition industries. With the acquisition of Nihot, BHS will strengthen the integrated solutions that it offers its customers.

“BHS and Nihot are similar in that both companies manufacture equipment to the highest levels of quality,” said Cees Duijn, Director of Nihot. “Combining our technology, product offerings, global resources and expertise will enhance every function of our business. BHS has positioned itself as the premier systems provider. We are excited to be joining this team and are looking forward to a prosperous partnership.”

Nihot was majority-owned by Stibbe Participaties, an industrial holding company with a broad portfolio of investments in equipment companies in the sectors Pharma & Fine Chemicals, Food & Dairy and Environment.

Oaklins' team in the Netherlands acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of Nihot in this transaction.
