Senior Associate

Koen is a senior associate in the M&A mid-market team at Oaklins Netherlands. He works across different sectors, with a focus on business support services and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT). He has extensive experience in sell-side, buy-side and fundraising advisory assignments for family business owners, corporates and private equity firms. Notable M&A transactions include the acquisition of Dräger’s Dutch fire & gas business unit by Unica, the sale of Top Systems to Holland Capital, the fundraising of iwell led by Meridiam, the sale of Crux Agribotics to VDL, the sale of TOPIC to Technology & Strategy, the sale of Kubus Sports to Transformation Capital, the sale of Embrace to Aareon and the sale of ABZ Seeds to Planasa.

Koen joined the team in 2021 following internships at a corporate finance boutique and Oaklins Netherlands in 2020. He has a master’s in finance and investments (cum laude) from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Utrecht University.
