Oliver is a director at Oaklins Germany in Frankfurt. With more than 15 years’ experience in corporate strategy and M&A, he has extensive expertise along the entire inorganic growth cycle. He has deep industry knowledge of the industrial automation sector along a diverse range of global market verticals, such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals and life sciences. Oliver is also familiar with the real estate software market and the current SaaS-driven digitalization activities across Europe. He has advised several clients either as an M&A consultant or as head of corporate development departments in, inter alia, the industrial automation, real estate software and IoT sectors. In industrial automation, Oliver has advised on several acquisitions, for example the takeovers of the German companies Schwarzer Precision (micro pumps) and the Fäth Group (semiconductor supplier), the Chilean engineering company Fluidos Técnicos Chilenos SpA and the sale of CUT Membrane GmbH to a Chinese conglomerate, all transactions on behalf of Bürkert Fluid Control Systems. Other selected transactions include a number of pan-European acquisitions of SaaS companies for the leading European real estate software firm Aareon AG, a subsidiary of Aareal Bank AG and Advent International, to accelerate their digitalization program; the sale of Polish Polkomtel S.A. to Spartan Capital Holdings; the sale of the German retailer Mode & Preis, a subsidiary of Arcandor AG, to Aurelius AG; the sale of the Austrian business of MEWA Textil-Service to Salesianer-Miettex; and the sale of the German pharmaceutical wholesaler W. Kapferer to Noweda.
Oliver started his career with @Visory Partners (now Clearwater International), a German M&A advisory firm with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. Prior to joining Oaklins Germany, he worked for Aareon AG. He also spent almost eight years with the leading industrial automation company Bürkert Fluid Control Systems and three years with Accenture AG as a consultant in its global corporate strategy and M&A practice. Oliver has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Wiesbaden Business School and a master’s degree in business consulting from Wismar Business School.
