Principal

Matthew is a principal at Oaklins Heritage in Savannah, specializing in merger and acquisition advisory and strategic planning. He works closely with business owners and leadership teams to guide transactions, optimize growth strategies and achieve long-term financial and operational objectives. His expertise is concentrated in the manufacturing, machinery, packaging, automation and financial services industries, where he has advised clients through complex transactions and provided strategic insights to position their businesses for sustained success.

Before joining Oaklins Heritage, Matthew held roles in corporate development buy-side mergers & acquisitions and strategic investing, gaining experience across multiple industries, both with founder-led businesses and private equity, building a strong foundation for his advisory work. Matthew formerly led transactions for two large corporations, including Western & Southern Financial Group and Coesia Spa. Over his career, he has worked on a variety of deals, large and small, as well as domestic and international. Matthew graduated with his MBA from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he was a four-year student athlete and team captain. Matthew has his FINRA Series 79 license.
