Johanna Castro

Johanna is a director at Axia, Oaklins’ member firm in Colombia. With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector in Latin America, she has worked on DCM, ECM and M&A transactions in a wide range of industries. Her key areas of expertise are in financial services, utilities, agriculture, oil & gas, technology and software.

Prior to joining Axia, Johanna worked at Finance in Motion, a German impact asset manager, where she was responsible for the origination of green businesses in Latin America. Before that, she worked in different roles ranging from investment banking to equity research at investment banks in Latin America, such as Corficolombiana, Larrainvial and ItauBBA. During her time in Asia, Johanna worked as a consultant for BSR (Hong Kong) and as a research analyst at Responsible Research (today Sustainalytics Singapore). Johanna has an MBA from the University of Science and Technology of Hong Kong (HKUST) and an economics and business administration degree from Los Andes University.
