Diciembre 2018 — Referencia, un spin-off de la división de "specialty finance" de Refinancia, ha sido adquirida por su equipo directivo.
Referencia es un spin-off de la división de “specialty fiannce” de Refinancia. Con 50 empleados, la empresa ofrece tres productos principales: Li$to, Fenalcheque y garantías crediticias. Li$to se enfoca en un segmento desatendido en Colombia a través de financiación en puntos de venta. Fenalcheque garantiza cheques posfechados a minoristas, instituciones educativas y financieras. Se ofrecen garantías de préstamos a las instituciones financieras sobre ciertos tipos de préstamos, por ejemplo financiamiento a la educación. Referencia tiene acceso exclusivo al gremio de comerciantes más grande de Colombia. Los clientes privados se benefician al tener un financiamiento competitivo sin tener que agotar los límites de la tarjeta de crédito, mientras que los profesionales cuentan con financiamiento alternativo que les permite aumentar las ventas.
