Übernahme der HK Plastics Engineering, Inc. durch die Balda AG
Die Balda AG (Balda) hat 100% der Anteile an der HK Plastics Engineering, Inc. zu einem nicht veröffentlichten Kaufpreis erworben.
Balda in Deutschland entwickelt und fertigt hochwertige Kunststoffsysteme für medizinische Geräte sowie komplette Elektronikprodukte für Kommunikation und Unterhaltung. Das Segment Balda Medical in Bad Oeynhausen entwickelt und produziert Kunststofflösungen für die Märkte Medizintechnik, Pharma und Diagnostik.
Diese Akquisition ist Teil der Buy-and-Build-Strategie von Balda im Geschäftsbereich Medical. Durch die Akquisition erweitert Balda seinen Präsenz auf dem strategisch wichtigen US-Markt und baut sein Medizintechnikgeschäft aus.
Das Familienunternehmen HK Plastics Engineering, Inc. mit Sitz in Oceanside, Kalifornien, ist ein Komplettanbieter von Kunststoff-Spritzgussteilen und den dazugehörigen Werkzeugen. Das Leistungsspektrum reicht von der Konstruktion und Entwicklung über den Werkzeugbau und den Formgebungsprozess bis hin zu mechanischen Installationen. Mehr als 80 Prozent des Umsatzes werden mit Kunden aus der Medizintechnik erzielt, insbesondere im Bereich der medizinischen Diagnostik.
