Nicolai is a director at Oaklins Denmark. He is the day-to-day project manager with responsibility for M&A projects in the Danish mid-market. He is also responsible for daily contact with clients, potential buyers and other advisors throughout the advisory process. Nicolai has broad industry experience. Notable Nordic transactions he has been involved in include the carveout of STENHØJ Hydraulik to Pentaco Partners, the sale of Solum Gruppen to a management-led consortium and the divestiture of Atkins’ Polish subsidiary to Norwegian-based Multiconsult.
Prior to joining Oaklins, Nicolai was a corporate development associate at WS Atkins plc in London, the UK’s largest engineering consultancy firm (which has since been acquired by Canadian SNC-Lavalin). Nicolai worked on various global sell- and buy-side transactions, corporate development and strategic assessments for the group. Before joining Atkins in 2012, Nicolai worked in M&A advisory at Rothschild out of London. He has a master’s in finance and corporate restructuring from the University of Wales, London, UK, and a master’s in international business from SKEMA Business School, Nice, France.
