Sophia is a partner at Oaklins Fortezza Partners in Brazil. She has more than 10 years of experience in M&A and private equity. Notable M&A transactions she has completed include the acquisition of a minority stake by Advent in Fleury Group, a leading healthcare group in Brazil; the sale of Harold Chocolates, one of the largest B2B chocolate producers in Brazil, to Fuji Oil; and the sale of DbTrans, a leading provider of payment solutions for independent truckers in Brazil, to FleetCor.

Prior to joining Oaklins Fortezza Partners, Sophia was an investment professional at STS GAEA Capital for four years. Previously, she worked at Credit Suisse in Brazil for five years in the investment banking division, executing M&A and ECM transactions in several sectors, such as consumer, infrastructure, logistics and healthcare. Sophia has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and attended the economics undergraduate program at Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo (FGV-SP).
