Oaklins receives B Corp™ status
Oaklins Netherlands has been certified as a B Corp™. The international certification recognizes companies that meet high standards in areas such as social and environmental impact, governance and employee practices.
The assessment looks beyond ambitions and policies. It also considers how these principles are embedded in an organization’s day-to-day operations and decision-making.
Good business is not only about financial performance, but also about the positive impact we as an organization can make on employees, clients, the environment and society. Our B Corp status reflects our commitment to embedding that responsibility in the way we operate and in the decisions we make. We are particularly proud to be the first Dutch corporate finance adviser to achieve B Corp certification. Continuing to improve
An important reason for Oaklins to pursue B Corp certification its focus on continuous improvement. Maintaining the certification requires organizations to regularly assess their performance, identify areas for improvement and continue developing their policies and practices.
It is precisely that focus on continuous improvement that appeals to us. B Corp provides a framework for regularly assessing where we stand as an organization and where we can do better. The certification process has helped us revisit a range of topics, sharpen our policies and processes, and embed them more firmly in the way we operate. When considering a new mandate, we naturally assess whether we can add value for the client. At the same time, we take a broader view of whether the assignment is a good fit for us as an organization.
