Livlande Agro has been acquired by Merito Partners
June 2026 — Merito Partners has acquired a controlling stake in Gaižēni SIA, one of Latvia’s leading pig farming companies operating under the Līvlande Agro brand, from NCH Capital and other shareholders. The company’s founder and management team will remain actively involved in the business, supporting its continued growth and development.
Gaižēni SIA, operating under the Līvlande Agro brand, is one of Latvia’s leading pig farming companies, with a history dating back to 1995 and an estimated 20% share of the domestic market. The company operates four modern, vertically integrated production facilities across Latvia and produces more than 100,000 finisher pigs annually. In addition to pig production, Gaižēni cultivates approximately 1,900 hectares of owned and leased agricultural land, using the harvested crops primarily for feed production. This integrated operating model enhances profitability while reducing exposure to commodity price volatility. The company has also invested in renewable energy solutions and maintains high standards of operational efficiency and biosecurity, positioning it among the most advanced pig farming operators in the region.
