Tom is a partner at Oaklins S&W, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK. Leading the corporate finance team in Cambridge, he has over 25 years’ experience in M&A and private equity and has led dozens of transactions across multiple sectors. Tom specializes in succession planning for owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs, with a focus on delivering company disposals and buy-outs. He has particular expertise in the veterinary sector, where he has completed some of the most significant transactions in the UK in recent years; technology, including SaaS and cyber security; and business services. Notable transactions include the sale of Goddard Veterinary Group to VetPartners Limited, the sale of C4 Carbides to TTI Group, the investment by BGF into Just Digital Limited and the sale of cr360 to United Laboratories LLC.

Tom is an Oxford history graduate and a chartered accountant. He worked in the M&A teams at Deloitte and RSM before setting up and leading Ashcroft Corporate Finance that became part of Oaklins S&W in 2023. Tom was named the Insider Media Central & East Dealmaker of the year in 2022.
