Ryan Makis

Director

Ryan is a director at Oaklins Intrepid, one of Oaklins’ US member firms. He is a member of the software & services team, advising middle market clients in their pursuit of M&A and/or capital raising transactions. His experience spans mandates across several of the group’s sub-sectors, including vertical software, salestech, human capital management and compliance. Notable deals he has been involved in include the sale of The Boda Group to BTS Group; the sale of SafetySkills to HSI, a portfolio company of Waud Capital Partners; a recapitalization of GraphPad by Insight Partners; a recapitalization of Experlogix by Featheringill Capital; a growth recapitalization of Avaap by New MainStream Capital; and the sale of Drawloop Technologies to Nintex, a portfolio company of TA Associates and Updata Partners.

Prior to joining Oaklins Intrepid, Ryan worked for JDB Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank based in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also worked in football operations for the Washington Redskins of the NFL. He has an A.B. in Economics, with honors, from Princeton University and he is a FINRA-registered representative.
