Ondřej Berka

Managing Director

Ondřej is a managing director at Oaklins WOOD & Co. in the Czech Republic. He leads a team that advises clients in M&A, ECM and DCM. His primary focus is advising on private M&A transactions, especially sell-side mandates. Over the last 18 years, Ondřej has worked with both domestic and international clients in the retail, financial services, food & beverage, transportation, healthcare, real estate, defense, machinery, business services and media industries. Notable transactions he has advised on include the sale of FAST, a leading CEE electronics and home appliances distributor; the sale of Vltava-Labe-Press, a leading Czech media group; the sale of a majority share in Fincentrum; the landmark acquisition of Škoda Power by Korean Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction; the sale of a minority interest in OKIN BPS; the sale of the ticketing platform GoOut to the Estonian group PLG; the acquisition of Ticketportal for the same client; and raising €100 million for the digital automotive platform Omnetic. Ondřej also has experience in advising on ECM transactions, such as the IPO of Colt CZ Group, the IPO of Czech GE Money Bank (currently known as Moneta Money Bank) and raising the first SPAC in the CEE region.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ondřej spent more than two years at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, a leading global strategy consultancy firm, where he worked on projects in banking, the retail industry, construction, transportation and utilities.
