Ben is a partner at Oaklins S&W, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK. With M&A experience across a variety of sectors, Ben’s primary role is to lead transactions by supporting and advising his clients throughout the wider transaction process. He is well connected within both the private equity and debt community, and has established strong relationships in the UK’s lower- to mid-market. He focuses on the B2B market, with strong sector expertise in business services and testing, inspection, certification & compliance (TICC), particularly fire safety, air quality and compliance. Recent transactions include the sale of Crowthorne, a provider of validation, testing and certification services to the clean air industry, to Normec Group; the sale of STM Environmental, an environmental consultancy, to Phenna Group; and the sale of Ashbury Global, a provider of labeling compliance services, to Normec Group.

Prior to joining Oaklins, Ben qualified as a chartered accountant in 2018 before joining the M&A team at Azets, a specialist SME advisor. He completed transactions in a wide range of sectors, including pharma, healthcare, electronics and logistics, with typical deal values ranging from US$5 to US$50 million. Ben graduated from the University of Manchester with honors in economics.
