Kilfrost Europe has been acquired by Clariant AG

Kilfrost Limited has sold Kilfrost Europe, its aircraft de-icing business in Europe, to Clariant AG. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Kilfrost Europe is a UK-based supplier of de-icing and anti-icing products to the civil aviation and transportation industries as well as ice protection fluids to general aviation.

Clariant AG is one of the world’s leading specialty chemical companies. Clariant contributes to value creation with innovative and sustainable solutions for customers from many industries. The company's portfolio is designed to meet very specific needs with as much precision as possible. At the same time, Clariant's research and development activity is focused on addressing key trends. These include energy efficiency, renewable raw materials, emission-free mobility, and conserving finite resources. The company has four business areas: Care Chemicals, Natural Resources, Catalysis and Plastics & Coatings.

Kilfrost Limited is the global market leader in the supply of safety critical de/anti-icing products across the transport industry.

Oaklins Cavendish, based in the UK, advised Kilfrost Limited on the sale of their aircraft de-icing business in Europe to Clariant AG.
