WOOD & Company Real Estate SICAV has acquired a 50% share in the Vackov Yards Žižkov development project
December 2025 — WOOD & Company Real Estate SICAV, acting through its residential subfund and in joint venture with Cresco Real Estate, has acquired the Vackov development site in Prague 3 from FINEP Group. The project, branded Yards Žižkov, comprises more than 1,100 residential units across multiple phases with a total development investment of approximately US$540 million (€460 million), forming one of Prague’s largest inner-city residential regeneration projects.
WOOD & Company Real Estate SICAV is a regulated Czech investment fund platform managed by WOOD & Company, a leading Central European investment bank and asset manager. The investment was executed through the residential subfund, which focuses on large-scale residential developments in prime urban locations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The strategy emphasizes scalable, multi-phase projects in supply-constrained metropolitan markets with strong long-term fundamentals.
Cresco Real Estate, a Central European residential developer active in the Czech and Slovak markets, acts as the development partner within the joint venture, contributing local expertise and leading project execution, including permitting, design coordination, construction management and commercialization.
Vackov, launched under the brand Yards Žižkov, represents the transformation of the former Žižkov Freight Railway Station brownfield into a new mixed-use urban quarter. In addition to residential units, the masterplan includes retail, community amenities and public green spaces, supported by planned infrastructure improvements such as a new tram connection to central Prague.
The seller, FINEP Group, is one of the largest residential developers in the Czech Republic and had previously prepared the site for redevelopment prior to the transaction.
