Vitrex Medical Group has acquired Herniamesh
April 2026 — Vitrex Medical Group (VMG) has acquired Herniamesh, an Italy-based manufacturer of specialized medical materials for surgical applications. The acquisition strengthens VMG’s surgical division by expanding its portfolio of surgical products for hernia repair, gynecological meshes, incontinence treatment and biological materials.
VMG is a European manufacturer of disposable medical devices with a portfolio focused on diabetes care, invasive drug delivery systems and surgical products, including lancets, syringes, needles, cannulas, surgical sutures and capillary tubes.
Herniamesh is an Italian manufacturer of medical devices for inguinal and abdominal hernia repair, female urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. The company serves customers worldwide through an established distribution network.
Our role in the transaction
Oaklins’ team in Slovakia acted as the buy-side advisor to VMG in this acquisition. The team supported the client throughout the transaction process, including target analysis, valuation, transaction structuring, coordination of due diligence and assistance with negotiations and documentation.
