Polaris Software Group has acquired Clarity Information Solutions

May 2024 — Polaris Software Group, backed by August Equity and the leading provider of innovative digital solutions for UK police forces and local authorities, has acquired Clarity Information Solutions. This strategic acquisition significantly broadens Polaris’s product portfolio and cements its position as a major player in the road safety space, both in the UK and internationally.

Headquartered in Oxfordshire, UK, Polaris is the market leader in permitting and offence processing software. It has long-standing relationships with police forces and local authorities across the UK and a growing international footprint. The company provides cloud-based solutions that automate back-office processes, including the processing of traffic and parking violations, permit applications and environmental offences. For Comtax, the acquisition brings access to Ryan’s global platform, technology and client network across more than 80 countries, creating opportunities to scale its tax determination and compliance offering beyond its current footprint. Moneybox’s employee share sale has set another milestone for London’s Private Securities Market

The London Stock Exchange’s Private Securities Market (PSM) continues to demonstrate its potential as a venue for providing shareholder liquidity in high-growth private companies. Following the successful employee share sale for autonomous driving pioneer Wayve earlier this month, fintech leader Moneybox has completed a US$61 million (£45 million) employee liquidity event through the PSM. By structuring the transaction as an employee liquidity event, long-serving employees with vested equity have been able to realize some of the value they helped create while enabling Moneybox to remain private and continue its growth journey. Crowdcube managed the employee seller and investor participation process.
