Smile Invest has acquired RB+ Groep

November 2025 — Smile Invest has acquired a majority stake in RB+ Groep, a specialist in comprehensive fire prevention solutions operating under the brands Van der Aa, Firejob and Preficon Europe, with a strong focus on constructional fire prevention. This transaction supports RB+’s growth ambitions and enables the company to expand into adjacent and international markets.

Smile Invest is a European investment firm established in 2017, focusing on innovative growth companies driven by a compelling vision and the ambition to become market leaders. The firm invests in businesses aligned with key themes such as digitalization, innovation in healthcare and sustainability.

RB+ specializes in the design, production, installation and maintenance of passive structural fire protection for residential and non-residential renovation and new construction projects. The company offers end-to-end solutions that ensure optimal fire safety for buildings across sectors such as healthcare, utilities and residential housing. RB+ is known in the market through its brands Van der Aa, Firejob and Preficon, and serves the entire value chain of passive fire protection. Supported by innovative digital solutions, RB+ delivers complex and demanding projects that comply with increasingly stringent installation and documentation regulations for structural fire protection. Clients recognize RB+ as both a knowledge center and a pragmatic partner in the design and execution of highly complex challenges.

Our role in the transaction

With the acquisition of Rent-Tech, Wicotec Kirkebjerg strengthens its industrial service offering and position in West Zealand, Denmark, expanding its capabilities in electrical installations, specialized piping and metalwork services.
