Mariana Gomes

Senior Associate

Mariana is a senior associate at Monsanto Capital, Oaklins’ member firm in Portugal. She has advised clients across a range of sectors, including building materials, distribution and retail, energy and consumer goods. Recent transactions include the acquisition of Frezite, a Portuguese tool manufacturer, by Walter, a division of Sandvik, a global high-tech engineering group; the acquisition of Nexxpro, a company dedicated to the manufacture of motorcycle helmets, by the management team alongside ActiveCap; and the acquisition of Nortécnica, an electrical materials wholesaler, by SKK.

Previously, Mariana worked in mergers and acquisitions as an intern at BNP Paribas in Lisbon. She has a master’s in finance from Nova School of Business and Economics and a degree in management from ISCTE-IUL.
