Rain is a partner at Oaklins Baltics in Tallinn. He has over 25 years’ experience in consulting, investing and advising on corporate finance transactions in various sectors, including construction, infrastructure, retail, business services, food processing, real estate and TMT. In addition to M&A advisory, he has experience in privatizations, re-nationalizations, capital raisings (private placements and IPOs), stock exchange de-listings and company restructurings. Notable companies he has advised are the largest infrastructure companies in Estonia: Tallinna Vesi (a water and sewerage company in Tallinn), Tallinn District Heating company, Estonian Energy and Tallinn Port; the largest general and specialized construction companies in the Baltics: Merko, Empower and Connecto; leading players in their sub-sectors in TMT: Starman, Tele2, Telia, City24, kv.ee, cvonline and CV-keskus; and leading professional services firms: G4S and Fontes.
Rain is a founder of Oaklins Baltics and has been a key member of the team since 1999, having previously been co-head of investment banking at Hansabank (now Swedbank), the largest bank in the Baltics. Rain has a master’s in business economics, with a specialization in finance and banking, from Tartu University, Estonia.
