Senior Glass Systems has been acquired by an Employee Ownership Trust

April 2024 — Specialist glass manufacturer, Senior Glass Systems, has become employee owned.

Founded in 1995, Senior Glass Systems is a UK-based manufacturer of high-quality glazed units. The company specializes in both double and triple-glazed products, which are used in residential and commercial construction projects across the country. These products are known for their impressive thermal efficiency, noise insulation and durable seals, ensuring longevity and performance. Senior Glass Systems operates from a state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot facility in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, where it has invested in modern machinery, such as heat soak ovens and commercial furnaces, to maintain high production standards.

The owners have always put employee culture and welfare at the heart of its strategy. They have decided to transfer the company to an Employee Ownership Trust, enabling the employees to benefit in the future growth of the business.

Our role in the transaction

Oaklins S&W, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK, worked with the shareholders of Senior Glass Systems to deliver a successful transfer to an Employee Ownership Trust.
