ÇIMTAŞ Group has acquired DKW Engineering GmbH

May 2011 — ÇIMTAŞ Group has acquired a majority stake in Mannheim-based DKW Engineering GmbH. Financial details have not been disclosed.

ÇIMTAŞ is an Instanbul-based engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation company with global coverage. Incorporated in 1973 in Turkey as a fully owned subsidiary of the world leading contractor ENKA Group, the ÇIMTAŞ Group now consists of 12 companies in Turkey, the Netherlands, China, KSA, Germany and Kazakhstan. This transaction will enable the group to expand the value chain in the power plant engineering, especially in the high pressure piping planning area ,and to strengthen its market presence in the central European region.

DKW Engineering is a Mannheim-based wide scope engineering company providing industry-leading specialized services to discerning customers in the power (including conceptual, planning, basic and detail engineering of high pressure steam and water piping), process and chemical sectors.
