Lyons HR Staffing has sold its commercial staffing division to Elwood Staffing Services
November 2018 — Lyons HR, a leading Professional Employer Organization (PEO) with clients in 47 states, has sold its commercial staffing operations to Elwood Staffing Services. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Lyons HR Staffing provides high-value temporary staffing services throughout central and northern Alabama. The company is profitable and has sales in excess of US$40 million for its most recent year.
Elwood Staffing Services, with sales in excess of US$1 billion, is the 10th largest industrial staffing firm in the US, with headquarters in Columbus, Indiana, and more than 275 service locations in 31 states.
Lyons HR provides comprehensive HR solutions for small and medium-sized businesses including payroll and tax administration, employee benefits, HR consulting, regulatory compliance, risk management, staffing and recruiting. Founded in 1995 and based in Florence, Alabama, Lyons HR serves more than 13,000 employees at more than 700 work sites across the United States. The company will focus solely on growing its PEO service offering. "This is a great move for both companies," said Bill Lyons, founder and CEO of Lyons HR. "We are pleased to pass the reins of our staffing operation to Elwood Staffing. Elwood has a national footprint and will be able to offer our clients and associates greater resources, services and opportunities.
