April 2018 — Die Acutronic Gruppe, die im Bereich der Neonatal-Beatmung tätig ist, wurde von der Vyaire Medical Inc. übernommen.
Die Acutronic-Gruppe, bestehend aus der Acutronic Medical Systems AG (Schweiz) und der MIM Medizinische Instrumente & Monitoring GmbH (Deutschland), ist ein weltweiter Innovationsführer im Bereich der neonatalen Beatmung. Das Portfolio umfasst die fabian®-Ventilatorenplattform, das monsoon®-Jet-Beatmungsgerät, den florian®-Monitor sowie ergänzende Atemwegs-Managementgeräte und Softwarelösungen. Die Acutronic-Gruppe verfügt über eine hohe Fertigungstiefe, da alle leistungsrelevanten Gerätekomponenten und Flowsensoren im eigenen Haus hergestellt werden. Das 1981 gegründete Unternehmen hat Niederlassungen in Deutschland und der Schweiz und vertreibt seine Produkte in mehr als 90 Ländern.
Vyaire Medical ist das führende spezialisierte Medizintechnikunternehmen im Bereich der Beatmung. Vyaire Medical produziert und vertreibt Verbrauchsmaterialien und Geräte rund um die Geschäftsbereiche Beatmung, Anästhesie und Diagnostik. Zum Produktportfolio gehören unter anderem branchenführende Marken wie Bird, Bear und Jaeger oder AirLife®, Vital Signs®, Viasys. Vyaire Medical, deren Hauptsitz in Chicago ist, wurde im Oktober 2016 als Joint Venture zwischen Becton, Dickinson and Company und Apax Partners gegründet.
