Mallplaza has completed a capital increase
June 2024 — Plaza S.A. (Mallplaza) has raised US$300 million to finance part of its acquisition of 100% of Falabella Perú S.A.A., a company with 15 consolidated shopping centers operating under Mallplaza Perú and Open Plaza S.A. In addition to this capital increase, other sources of financing include the company’s available cash and the incremental US$85.4 million (UF3 million) debt issued on 18 April 2024.
Mallplaza develops, builds, administers, manages, exploits, leases and sublets premises and spaces in shopping centers. The company also operates shopping centers under the Mallplaza, Autoplaza and Motorplaza brands. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Santiago, Chile, Mallplaza has a unique portfolio of 26 shopping centers in 17 cities across Chile, Colombia and Peru. These world-class assets drive significant traffic and establish Mallplaza as a prominent shopping center platform in South America.

Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss des Angebots beabsichtigt die Kolumbus Group, die Beteiligungspapiere zu dekotieren. Der Verwaltungsrat der Swiss Estates gab die Erstellung einer Fairness Opinion zur Beurteilung der finanziellen Angemessenheit des öffentlichen Kaufangebots in Auftrag.
