OBI Gruppe hat die "OBI"- und individuelle "Do it + Garden"-Filialen von Migros erworben

Januar 2025 — Im Rahmen einer strategischen Überprüfung hat die Migros beschlossen, sich von ihrem Baumarktgeschäft zu trennen, zu dem mehrere "Do It + Garden"- und "OBI"-Filialen gehörten. Die Migros hatte die Schweizer OBI-Filialen als Franchisenehmerin betrieben. Mit der OBI Gruppe Holding hat die Migros den idealen Partner gefunden, um die Kontinuität für Kunden und Mitarbeitende sicherzustellen.

OBI ist eine der grössten Baumarktketten in Deutschland mit Hauptsitz in Wermelskirchen. Gegründet in 1970, betreibt OBI europaweit über 650 Märkte, unter anderem in Deutschland, Österreich, Polen und Italien. Das Unternehmen bietet ein breites Sortiment an Produkten für Heimwerken, Bauen, Garten und Wohnen. OBI verfolgt eine Multichannel-Strategie, die den stationären Handel mit einer starken Online-Präsenz verbindet. Als Teil der Unternehmensgruppe Tengelmann ist OBI bekannt für sein umfangreiches Sortiment, seinen ausgezeichneten Kundenservice und seine projektbezogenen Lösungen für Heimwerker und Profis.

Die Migros ist das grösste Detailhandelsunternehmen der Schweiz und hat ihren Sitz in Zürich. Es wurde 1925 gegründet und ist als Genossenschaft organisiert. Das Unternehmen verfügt über ein diversifiziertes Geschäftsmodell, das Supermärkte, Warenhäuser, Fachgeschäfte, Banken und industrielle Fertigung umfasst. Mit fast 100.000 Mitarbeitern erwirtschaftet die Gruppe einen Umsatz von USD 34,9 Milliarden (CHF 32 Milliarden).
