July 2026 — Dan Ryan Truck Rental has secured investment from KKR-backed Dawsongroup. The transaction marks a new chapter in the continued development of the business as it joins the Dawsongroup platform.
Founded in 1955, Dan Ryan Truck Rental is a multigenerational Irish family business. The company is one of Ireland’s leading commercial vehicle leasing and contract hire providers. Its services include long-term commercial vehicle leasing and rental and short- and medium-term contract hire. Dan Ryan Truck Rental employs approximately 35 people.
Dawsongroup is a business-to-business asset rental, leasing, funding and fleet services group. Its core proposition is to help businesses access expensive operational assets without the need to own and manage them outright. Founded in the UK in 1935, Dawsongroup is headquartered in Milton Keynes, UK, and employs approximately 1,100 people. In January 2025, Dawsongroup received a strategic investment from KKR.
