Senior Associate

Vasco is a senior associate at Oaklins APOYO in Peru, where he co-leads the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A mandates, fairness opinions, valuations and other financial advisory engagements. He has experience across a broad range of sectors, including fishing, mining, consumer goods, industrials, agribusiness and logistics. His notable transactions include advising Pesquera Exalmar S.A.A. on its acquisition of Pesquera Centinela S.A.C.; Grupo Sole, Peru’s market leader in water heaters and home appliances, on its sale to Japan’s Rinnai Corporation; Marco Peruana, owned by a LarrainVial-related private equity fund, on its sale to Zamine Perú, part of Marubeni Corporation; the shareholders of Cartavio S.A.A., a leading Peruvian sugar producer controlled by Grupo Gloria, on a fairness opinion regarding the exchange terms for its merger by absorption with Empresa Agrícola Sintuco S.A.; and the board of directors of Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A. on a financial assessment of liquidity alternatives.
 
Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Vasco worked in the capital markets division at Credicorp Capital Bolsa and at Valinvest, a Peruvian private equity firm. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Universidad del Pacífico.
