Dieter Simons

Managing Director

Dieter is a managing director at Oaklins KBC Securities in Belgium. He has ample experience in both M&A and equity capital market transactions, having advised numerous shareholders and directors on their strategic endeavours. Dieter is also responsible for the renewable energy space within Oaklins KBC Securities. Some of his transactions include the sale of a minority stake in Jeco Energies to NPM Capital, various capital raisings for Elia, the sale of Vandamme Group’s Hungarian operations to ADM, the acquisition of a minority stake in Hannecard by BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity, the sale of Quares Student Housing to Xior and numerous capital raisings for Belgian listed companies.
 
Before joining Oaklins KBC Securities in 2016, Dieter worked as a fund manager for KBC Asset Management. He has a master’s in economics from the University of Antwerp and a master’s in financial management from Vlerick Business School. He has also passed all three CFA exams.
