Antonio Riccio

Managing Director

Antonio is a managing director at Oaklins Italy and boasts over 25 years of experience in private equity and capital markets across multiple sectors. He supports entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses with M&A transactions and strategic growth initiatives, leveraging extensive experience gained both as a fund manager and as a board member. Holding increasingly senior roles in private equity fund teams, he has originated, executed and managed investments in companies such as Utet, Eco & Rhoss, Randazzo, MTS, Desmon, Mer Mec, Somacis, Svas Biosana, Seri Industrial, Giunti, Frigomeccanica, Tesi and Lirsa. He has also supported several successful listings on Euronext Growth Milan (EGM), including Recupero Etico Sostenibile, E-Globe, Edil San Felice, Xenia Hotellerie, Mare Engineering Group, Simone, Misitano & Stracuzzi, Tecno, Otofarma and Markbass.

Before joining Oaklins Italy in 2026, Antonio spent approximately six years heading “Fondo Cresci al Sud”, a €250 million fund managed by Invitalia dedicated to supporting SME growth in Southern Italy. Prior to that, he worked for about two years in the corporate finance division of Medio Credito Italiano (Intesa Sanpaolo Group) supporting SMEs with structured finance and debt capital markets. Antonio spent over 13 years as an investment director at IMI Fondi Chiusi SGR (Intesa Sanpaolo Group) managing investments through the “Fondo di Promozione del Capitale di Rischio per il Mezzogiorno” and “Atlante Private Equity” funds. Early in his career, following an initial stint as a trader at Cariplo, Antonio held roles in investment and advisory services respectively at BNL Gestioni SGR and Vertis. Antonio has a degree in business administration with a specialization in corporate finance from Bocconi University, is a qualified chartered accountant and statutory auditor and has CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) and AIAF qualifications. He has served as a board member for many of the companies invested in by the private equity funds for which he worked and he was an adjunct professor at the University of Salerno, lecturing on business valuation in the context of private equity transactions.
