Levent is the managing partner and founder of inHERA Capital, Oaklins’ member firm in Turkey. He is a seasoned investment banker with over 20 years of extensive experience across various industries, such as the electric & electronic equipment, automotive, chemical, energy, food & beverage, insurance, IT products & services and logistics sectors. With particular expertise in financial modeling and valuations, Levent has acted as a financial expert witness in the USA. Notable transactions he has advised on include the sale of two electric equipment companies (Estap and Inform) to Legrand; the sale of Muka Metal hospital beds to Stryker; the acquisition of the order fulfillment logistics company Ogli by Arvato; the sale of Ankateks laundry services to Servizi Italia; the sale of Autoking auto repair shops to Peracap; the sale of the food service company Koza Gıda to Darby and Pera; the sale of Monopoli insurance to EMF; and the acquisition of injection molding company Tebplast IML by Rosti.
Prior to inHERA, Levent co-founded and led the investment bank PDF Corporate Finance, overseeing its sale to the Gulf-based investment bank TAIB and leading it for another four years. He has held advisory and board member roles at several companies and was chairman of the board at the Turkish office of Discovery Networks International. Before co-founding his first investment bank, Levent taught for the MBA and undergraduate finance and economics programs at Rutgers University, Newark, and worked in venture investments at TRIAD Capital, New York, and in project finance at Finansbank, Istanbul. Levent has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Bogaziçi University, an MSc in Management Engineering from NJIT and an MBA and an ABD in Finance from Rutgers University.
