Combo Group has been acquired by Heniff Transportation Systems
December 2024 — US-based Heniff Transportation Systems has acquired Combo Group. With this transaction, Heniff Transportation Systems immediately expands its presence in the European market, in line with its strategy to grow bulk transportation operations across the region.
Combo Group specializes in transport and logistics, food-grade tank cleaning and maintenance, and repair services. Based in the Netherlands and founded in 1998, the family-owned and operated business began in the intermodal repair space and later expanded into other bulk services in response to customer demand. Today, Combo is recognized for its expertise in tank beer transport and the intermodal transport of tank containers, supported by a comprehensive one-stop-shop approach to all its services.
The Heniff family of companies is a key market player in North America’s liquid bulk transportation services. The company operates approximately 2,000 tractors and 5,000 trailers across a network of over 100 locations, with expertise in chemical transport, food-grade transport, rail transloading, ISO depot operations, equipment maintenance, third-party logistics and tank cleaning services.
Our role in the transaction
Oaklins’ team in the Netherlands acted as the exclusive M&A sell-side advisor to the shareholders of Combo Group. This transaction underscores the team’s strong track record and expertise in the logistics sector.
