Simadan Holding B.V. has been acquired by Parcom Capital
The Simadan Group has been sold to Parcom Capital.
Simadan Group consists of five business units: Rotie – a specialist in the collection and processing of used cooking oil and organic waste material; Noba – a respected producer of high-energy fat products for the European feed industry; Biodiesel Amsterdam (BDA) – a leading producer of second-generation biodiesel made from used fats and oils; Tankstorage Amsterdam (TSA) – a tank storage company for vegetable oils, fats and biodiesel; and Tank & truck cleaning Amsterdam (CSA) – a tank and truck cleaning service in Amsterdam's port.
Parcom, a mid-market private equity firm in the Benelux, will retain the Rotie and Noba divisions, and intends to merge Noba's activities with Marvesa Oils & Fats, a global trading and distribution organization in niche ingredients for animal feed.
John Swire & Sons, a family-owned business with a diverse portfolio of activities that includes biodiesel producer Argent Energy, will subsequently take over the BDA, TSA and CSA divisions. John Swire & Sons will integrate these business units into Argent Energy, a biodiesel producer in the UK.
