Guard has strengthened its Danish platform with the acquisition of Holtec
February 2026 — Guard Automation AS, a leading Nordic provider of automation services, insight and process optimization, has acquired Holtec AS, a Danish engineering and automation company. The acquisition strengthens Guard’s presence in Denmark and supports its strategy of combining strong local expertise with digital platforms. Together with X Automation, Holtec will form a strong Danish automation platform, enabling knowledge sharing, best-practice transfer and enhanced capabilities across the Nordics.
Guard is an independent industrial automation and system integration provider with operations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The company develops solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity, focusing on the water, environment, energy and manufacturing industries, as well as industrial IT, internet of things (IoT) and AI.
Headquartered in Esbjerg, Holtec has more than 35 years of experience delivering automation solutions to customers in the industrial, energy, water and environmental sectors. The company is recognized for its strong technical expertise and proven delivery capabilities across complex automation projects. Sven Aage Jensen, CEO, will continue to lead the business and further develop the company to meet customer demands.
