Köhlerwoodcap has acquired Vawa Nederland B.V.
July 2013 — Köhlerwoodcap has acquired the remaining 50% stake in Vawa Nederland B.V. (Vawa) from Arie Romijn for an undisclosed consideration.
Köhlerwoodcap is the specialist in the area of glazing and sealing material, renovation funds, instruments and tapes. Köhlerwoodcap supplies a wide range of professional products for the glazier, painter, facade builder, contractor and industry. Köhlerwoodcap was created by the merger of Köhler Trading BV (glazing material) from Rotterdam and Woodcap BV (wood renovation funds and instruments) from Hengelo.
In 2012, Köhlerwoodcap and Arie Romijn together acquired Vawa from Den Braven Sealants, a global manufacturer of high-quality sealants. This transaction makes a first step in a buy-and-build strategy in order to increase revenues substantially.
Vawa is a wholesaler engaged in sales of many kinds of sealants, adhesives, glazing materials, glazing beads, primers and cleaners, aerosols. The company’s clients are primarily active in the construction, industrial and DIY markets.
