Mariana Gomes

Associate Director

Mariana is an associate director at Oaklins Portugal. She has advised clients on both domestic and international transactions across a range of sectors, including building materials, distribution and retail, energy and consumer goods. Recent transactions include the acquisition of Frezite, a Portuguese tool manufacturer, by Walter, a division of Sandvik, a global high-tech engineering group; the shareholder restructuring of Sanindusa, a leading Portuguese sanitary equipment group, with the private equity firm Iberis Capital; the acquisition of Nexxpro, a company dedicated to the manufacture of motorcycle helmets, by the management team alongside ActiveCap; and the acquisition of the retail pet chain Tibi and Desinfestex, a company that sells and distributes agricultural products, by Grupo Agris, a Portuguese family-owned group that operates in the agricultural sector.

Previously, Mariana worked in mergers and acquisitions at BNP Paribas in Lisbon. She has a master’s in finance from the Nova School of Business and Economics and a degree in management from ISCTE-IUL.
