Philippe Desomberg

Philippe is a managing director at Oaklins KBC Securities in Belgium with over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry as a corporate banker and M&A advisor. Selected recent transactions he has advised on include the sales of Belgarena to Nonet Group (construction & engineering services), Les Entreprises Esmer to a Belgian private holding (HVAC), Bella Sicilia to the Spuntini group (food & beverage), Amifood to the Belgian private equity firm Robur Capital (food & beverage), Wikipower to DPG Media (consumer & retail/energy/TMT) and Premium Spirits to the French private equity house Re-sources Capital (food & beverage).

Philippe started his career in 1989 at Banque Bruxelles Lambert (which became ING), where he served as branch director, SME credit expert and corporate banker. In 2008, he moved to CBC (KBC’s subsidiary in the French part of Belgium) as a corporate banker, becoming head of corporate finance in 2016. He joined Oaklins KBC Securities in 2021. Philippe has a master’s degree in applied economics from UCL Mons.
