Director

Vera is a director at Monsanto Capital, Oaklins’ member firm in Portugal. She has more than 14 years’ experience in financial advisory and M&A. She has advised clients in a variety of industries, particularly in hospitality, renewables and infrastructure, construction, food & beverage, distribution & retail, paper, consumer goods and IT. Key clients she has advised include Krautli, FEPI, Sugal and RAR. Recent transactions include the MBO of Joalpe, a plastic injection company focused on shopping baskets and retail store displays; the fundraising/project finance for Termoflorestal, a greenfield forest waste thermoelectric power plant; the acquisition of Tabacos Farinha and Joaquim Guimarães by FEPI, a distributor of tobacco and wine; and the acquisition of a majority stake in Internacional Tabacos and FEPI, both tobacco distribution companies, among other acquisitions for the FEPI Group. 

Vera joined Monsanto Capital in 2017, having previously been assistant manager of corporate finance at ASK Group, a Portuguese investment banking firm, where she spent eight years working on M&A projects. Vera started her career at Deloitte in 2006, first in the audit division and then in corporate finance. Vera has a degree in management from ISEG.
